What is happening this month?
Various events are coming up for the rest of November at Sandia High School. On Nov. 11, a Band Craft Fair will take place at 7801 Candelaria Rd, Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Band Craft Fair will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sandia Band Boosters are hosting this event. There will be 200+ local arts and crafts vendors and food trucks!
A week from the Band Craft Fair will be an APS Annual Esports Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3315 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87110 on Nov. 18. The games that will be set up include Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Madden, and more. There will also be pizza from Dion’s, and Pepsi will be providing beverages.
During our break, there will be basketball tryouts for the lady matadors. The tryouts will be on Nov. 20 through the 22. Varsity comes bright and early from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Meanwhile, the C-Team and Junior Varsity tryouts will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
There will be two exciting events on Nov. 27. Senior Class Pictures! The photos will be taking place during advisory/main group. Later in the day, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., a winter sports pre-season meeting will be held at Sandia.
Finally, many might know about our Thanksgiving break from Nov. 20 to Nov. 24. Spend a wonderful time with your family, sleep in, play video games, and catch up on work, but do not come to school; no one will be at Sandia. Enjoy November Matadors!
