Drama two and three will be performing one acts on May 2nd and 3rd at 7 o'clock and selling tickets for $5 each. The Drama two one act is going to consist of Greek mythology where two narrators attempt to tell every Greek myth in 30 minutes. Wilson Hibbs, a stage manager and narrator 2 of drama two´s act one, claims, ¨The one acts are really sort of the culmination of that class, like the big thing we have been working for this whole semester.¨ Ryan Morris, the drama teacher, is directing the class doing most of the work, but Hibbs has blocked a couple of scenes and does some of the instructions. Hibbs says the hardest part of being stage manager was keeping people motivated stating, ¨Even if you have someone who enjoys drama they're not necessarily going to get as excited about this. So it's really getting everyone excited about it. Making sure everyone has that motivation.¨ The drama students have been working hard on it for most of the semester, Hibbs claimed ¨I'm really proud of everyone in that class we´ve all pulled together in a relatively short amount of time to get this thing off the ground.¨
Addison Cunningham a student in drama one, says for their own act which they are doing for practice for their next years one act ¨We got to pick our own one acts out of books or scripts that we found online so my one act is about a married couple who fights about where they live and how one of them wants to move.¨ In her class Cunningham has about 14 groups with two people in each group. Cunningham says ¨My favorite part about my own act is getting to act mad or angry with my partner and adding my own personality to the character in the one act.¨ One of the hardest things about plays and shows is remembering your lines stating ¨We have to memorize all our lines for our one act before performing them and it's a lot of practice every class to make sure we have it memorized. Drama has worked very hard to put on a good show, so show your support by attending their one act on May 2nd and 3rd.
